  1. I knew Tom through James Barry. He was a really great guy. I remember he had a love for the Blues and the Cardinals, and he was a founding member of the Missouri State University baseball team fan club, Guttin’s Gang. We lost touch over the years, but he will always be a part of my college memories. He will be missed.

  2. I’m very sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. Cherished memories in high school and college. I loved Tom. It was very easy to. I hope he is at peace, but the world has less love in it now. I’ll miss you buddy.

  3. Me and Tom had known each other since we were kids…He was my oldest and best friend…I can’t imagine going through this life without him and his kindness. He was the one guy that if he was in trouble or needed something, I’d be there no questions asked. There will never be another person like him in the rest of my life. I loved him more than anyone or anything in this world. And I’m deeply saddened that I wasn’t able to be there for him in the end. Tom, wherever you are…I just want you to know that I will never forget you . And my Condolences to the entire Derkos family, Your son was the best man I have ever known and a even better friend.
