Diamond

In Loving Memory

Diamond, Linda Spinner

February 26, 1944-November 7, 2019

Linda Sue Spinner was born on February 26, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Julius and Mary Martin Spinner.  She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Elgin Deamond.

She is survived by her brother, James Spinner and sister-in-law, Nancy Spinner of McCormick, South Carolina; her niece, Julie Spinner Gombash (Brian) and great nephew Matthew Gombash of Simpsonville, South Carolina; Her nephew, Mark Spinner (Melissa), great nephews, Wiley and Hill and great niece Mary Martin Spinner of Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Linda was baptized, confirmed and married at Hope Lutheran Church in St. Louis.  She attended Hope Lutheran Elementary School and was in the first graduating class of Lutheran High South in 1962.

Linda began her professional career in the accounting department of Union Electric and retired after 40 years of service.

Linda married the love of her life, Elgin Diamond, in 1983.  Tragically, he passed away after only three years of marriage.

Linda had a passion for animals and was a long time “Friend” of the St. Louis Zoo.  She had so many pets over the years and loved them all dearly.  She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends and spent many summers at Litchfield Beach, South Carolina.  Memorable trips with her friends included; Hawaii, Alaska, the Panama Canal, the Caribbean islands and Europe.

Linda was a kind, generous, loving and faithful part of our lives and we will miss her very much.  We take great comfort and joy in knowing that she is in the arms of Jesus with no more suffering or sorrow.  We look forward to our blessed reunion in Heaven with her.

to God be the glory through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
