  2. Dearest Jasa, my precious daughter, I’m struggling to make sense of this tremendous void in my life. I miss you so very much. I’m so sorry the doctors could not mend your body after the birth of your beautiful, healthy boy, Duncan. Your love for your husband, Preston, radiated from you every time I saw you together. The two of you were perfect together. Now, his love for you will carry on as he cares for the son you both created. Thank you, Jasa, for doing such a good job during your pregnancy. Little Duncan is adorable.
Jasa your last words to me as you were rolled to surgery will echo in my mind forever, “Hey, Memaw. I love you.”
Forever in my heart you will remain.
I love you, I love you more, I love you most, I love you mostest!
    Your Mama (Memaw)

  5. Dearest Mr. Preston and Duncan, I, (co-worker) was devasted to hear about the sudden loss of Mrs. Jasa. My heart aches for you, Duncan and the family during this incredibly difficult time. Mrs. Jasa was a beautiful woman, with a joyful spirit, bringing so much sunshine to our team. She shared all of the baby moments with us allowing us to laugh and smile. My prayer is that God turn your time of darkness into light again and give you the strength to get through. May he stay by you guys’ side during this difficult time. Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories. Therefore, my prayers for you, are to cherish every memory and the love you had. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4. May God bless you and the entire family!!!

  6. Words could never describe how I feel about this wonderful woman. Speaking as a co-worker/her supervisor I could not have asked for a better employee. She always had her work and her team top of mind. I once asked her where she got that delightful trait and no surprise, she responded from her parents!! What a great job raising her! Outside of work she was equally a great friend, you know the kind that would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it, don’t need to say much more on that. Preston she adored you and rightly so, you were the perfect couple, so much fun! She pored her heart and soul into making sure everything was going to be perfect for Duncan’s birth what a beautiful baby. She was so happy. Jasa, Preston and Duncan will be in my heart forever. Rest in peace Jasa ❤️

  10. To Jasa’s Family, especially to her sweet baby boy, Duncan,

There are few words that can ease the deep pain of losing someone so special, so suddenly. Though I had the privilege of working alongside Jasa for just over a year, she made a lasting impact on me and everyone around her. She was a light and a spark on our team — brave, outspoken, and deeply committed to doing what was right. As one of her colleagues said so perfectly, she was a fierce advocate — for integrity, for her peers, and for those whose voices needed to be heard.

To Jasa’s family, especially her mother — you raised an extraordinary woman. Her courage and authenticity were rare gifts. As a mother myself, I can only hope to instill in my own daughters the same vivacious tenacity and fearless spirit that Jasa carried through every part of her life.

To Preston — your time with Jasa was far too short, and no words can ease the heartbreak of that loss. But I hope that, in time, the same determination and love that Jasa embodied will continue to guide you as you carry forward the life she dreamed of for you and your beautiful son.

And to you, sweet Duncan — as you grow older and read these words one day, I hope you come to see how deeply your mother was admired and loved. She was strong, compassionate, and full of life. She had a gift for standing up for what mattered, and a heart that shone brightly in every room she entered. Though you won’t have the chance to know her in person, her spirit lives within you — in your laughter, your courage, and the love that surrounds you.

If ever there comes a time when life feels unfair or heavy, know that your mom would have been the one showing up — ready to make things right, fiercely protective, and endlessly proud of you. May her strength and light always be carried in your heart.

    With deepest sympathy and love,
    Michelle DeMeyer

  11. It’s hard to put into words what it means to lose someone like Jasa. What began as a simple work connection quickly became something much deeper; a friendship built on laughter, shared struggles, and the kind of understanding that only comes when someone truly sees you.
Over time, Jasa became more than a coworker. She became someone I could lean on, confide in and laugh with until our sides hurt. We shared so many moments that will live with my most precious memories, those moments will never fade.
It’s impossible to measure the impact Jasa had on the people around her. But one thing is certain; her kindness, humor, and strength will never be forgotten. Our hearts are heavy, but hopefully we find comfort in knowing how lucky we were to have known her at all.
My deepest condolences to Jasa’s mother, Preston, sweet baby Duncan and the many people missing sweet Jasa!
    Rest easy, my dear friend!

  12. To Preston and Duncan,
It has taken me a little while to find the words to send you all. Jasa was an amazing person to work with! I regret that we did not have more time to get to know each other but rest assured the small amount of time we had worked together will always be a blessing to me. I admired her strength and determination so much. Especially for you sweet Duncan! You mother was very determined to get you here safely and give you the very best start in life. I know you will hear so many stories about her and they will all be important to you. But please know you mother loves you so much and she will always be with you. Sending many prayers for peace and healing.

  13. I am sending prayers to all of you and, strength to get through this time of grief. Jasa’s confidence in her work and in life was a testament to her strength of character. Her presence will be missed greatly by me and the rest of her work team. I know with golden wings she is looking down on Preston and baby Duncan. Bringing that baby boy into this world I know she would consider a miraculous achievement. Someday he will know how special his mommy was.

  15. I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Jasa. I went to high school with her. Just last year ran into her fundraising at a music concert and was able to chat with her for a few minutes. She was so full of joy and seemed to really be happy with her place in life. We are all shocked and saddened for your loss. Our deepest sympathies.

Although not all of us have kept in touch, many high school acquaintances would love to help share a meal, provide baby items, care, cleaning or whatever may be helpful to honor her memory. Please reach out if we can be of assistance in any way.
