Estes, April Lee

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the age of 77.

Beloved wife of the late John P. Estes; loving mother of Kimberly (Steve) Monson; dearest grandmother of Stephanie A. Monson and Timothy M. Grace, Jr.; preceded in death by her parents, John H. and Irene A. Annau (nee Nankmann); our dear sister, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend of many. 

 

April was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a kind heart and caring spirit. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed her time with family and friends. April loved to travel and enjoyed the Botanical Gardens, the Muny and quilt & bingo socials. She was especially proud of her grandkids. April will be dearly missed.

 

SERVICES: Visitation to be held at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd., Monday, November 27, from 10:30 AM until the Catholic funeral service at 12:30 PM. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

    So sorry for your loss, Aunt April was a wonderful Aunt to me. She was always interested in what was going on in my life and I knew that each year in her Christmas card that I sent her, that she would want a picture, because she cherished pictures so much.
    I wish that I could make it to her funeral today, but was unable to make plans with such short notice.

  2. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Sorry I could not attend the funeral. I have been friends with April since 1st day of high school. I will miss our lengthy talks. We shared many wonderful times together. May she rest in God’s loving arms.

    • April used to come in to our store for some basic items. It was good to talk to her. Sorry to hear of her passing I will miss talking to her. May she rest in peace. Prayers go out to her family and love ones

  3. My name is Kathy. I did Aprils hair for slot of years. I had a feeling something happened to her when I hadn’t heard from her. She was always making sure her hair looked nice. I’m sorry for all of her family, she was a wonderful woman . If you can look me up on Facebook Kathy Pinkowski Mccandless I would like to see how she got so sick and passed. We had such wonderful conversations, beautiful woman inside and out, I miss her for sure!!
