Carl E. Fisk, Sr. Monday, October 6, 2025. Beloved husband of Betty Jean Fisk for 74 years; beloved father of Carl E. Fisk Jr., Clay (Janet) Fisk and Shelley (James) Ringhofer; beloved grandpa of Danielle, James, Thomas (Crystal), Joshua (Jessi), Carla (Jake), Chase, Carl III and Blake; beloved great grandpa of Nevaeh, Jaxon, Alexandria, Liam, Alivia, Alyssa, Callie, Roman, Quincy, Cadence; beloved great great grandpa of Oaklee Jean; beloved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.
Born Oct. 9, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri, he married the love of his life Betty at 16 and started what he was most proud of, his family. A jack of all trades, he never met a job he couldn’t tackle. Decades of being an asbestos worker and insulator by trade, his hobbies included all types of construction, home building, working the farm, and tinkering on any vehicle or tractor engine he could get his hands on. And fishing.
He greeted friends and strangers alike with a smile and a story. So very many stories. Most often about his wife or his grandchildren. He valued hard work above all. He never met a stranger he wouldn’t help. To him everyone was worthy of a second chance. If you met Carl, your first meeting was rarely going to be your last. He was loving, caring, determined, and inquisitive about life.
He was happiest having meals with family, or on top of one of his many tractors. Later in life, he took great pride in caring for his beloved wife Betty. He will be greatly missed by all lucky enough to have known him.
