In Loving Memory

Foley, William T.

William T. Foley, 74, of Barnhart, MO passed away at Mercy South on August 27, 2023. Bill was a loving husband and devoted father, Married to his wife Judy for 51 years.

Bill grew up in south St. Louis with his parents and 4 brothers. He graduated from Augustinian Academy in 1967. He started at the postal service at his fathers urging and retired after 35 years there.

Bill enjoyed working in the yard and doted on his rose bushes and vegetable gardens over the years. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football and basketball, while participating in NCAA brackets and football pools, with his brother Tim. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and dance. Perhaps his favorite hobby was telling his grandchildren “dad jokes” on a continuous loop until they beat him to his own punchline.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Edmond and Theresa; his brothers Robert and Michael; and his son Christopher.

He is survived by his wife Judith (Goodhart); daughter in law Joan Hopkinson with her son Kyle and his wife Sarah Foley: his daughter Jennifer and son in law Scott and their children Brooklyn and Blake Utterback; His daughter Linda and son-in-law Chris and their children Landon, Logan, Mackenzie, and Alyssa Hartsell; his brother Timothy, brother Patrick and sister in law Leslie; sisters-in-law Mary Lou and Kay; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Gathering for friends and family will be held September 7th at Kutis funeral home Lemay Ferry from 9:30 to 11:30, followed by a prayer service at 11:30 and burial at Resurrection Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of William Foley to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital or American Heart Association.
