David E. Gevermuehle was born on September 29, 1945 to Robert and Elsie (nee Bock) Gevermuehle in St. Louis, MO and entered into rest on October 14, 2023 at the age of 78.

David is the Dear father of Tracy (Tim) Wilkerson, the late Christy (Mick) Plogger, and Ken (Kathi) Courtaway. Loving brother of Shirley (the late Richard) Roland, and the late Florence (Harold) Shockley. Dearest grandfather of Tiffany, T.J., Nicole, Destani, Jerrold, Rosa, August, Melissa, Michael, Bridgette, Abby, Olvia, and Ali. Dear great-grandfather of Elliot, Joey, Devyn, Delilah and Lei’anne. Loving uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

He was an active member and volunteer of the American Legion Post 162. David also enjoyed shooting pool and was a member of the Missouri 8-Ball league. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan who always posted “That’s A Winner” on social media after every victory. David was also an Army Veteran who proudly served in Viet Nam.

Visitation Wednesday, October 18 from 6-9 p.m. at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. FUNERAL MASS Thursday, October 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church 68 Sherman Ave. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery

  1. I will miss talking with him at the post 162. He made me feel very welcomed when I transferred to the post a few years ago. He did enjoy watching the Cardinals play their games. I will miss him posting the game results. Rest in peace my fellow veteran. May God open his arms and accepts you in his heavenly kingdom.

Was shocked to hear of your passing wanted to be at your funeral but I was not feeling well.I thought of you as a good friend and person.you never had anything bad to say about anyone and I will never forget when you got me a job at nordyne when I needed a job.you had a good spirit.you will be missed by me and many others.Rest In peace.
