He is the first good man that I have ever known. He is incredibly loving and selfless, and has such a kind heart. My grandma loved him, but he didn’t just show love towards only her. He has still treated my family as though we were his own. He didn’t just treat my grandma as a princess, he treated all of us like we meant something to him. He wanted to show us that life shouldn’t be full of hardships.
I was on vacation when he was in hospice and when he passed, and the last time I saw him was when I was still too young and stupid to fully understand the integrity of this man. He loaned us our first home when our family was starting, of which I have fond memories. He took us on vacations when we ourselves couldn’t necessarily afford it, all because he can, and I know I’m not blood, but I like to think that he passed knowing I will be fine and had time for leisure. That we were both looking at paradise- Earthly and heavenly- and everything will be fine.
He’s a once in a lifetime man. We should all follow in his footsteps and pay it forward.
Thank you, and I love you, Papa Kent.
I will always remember Uncle Kent, and really enjoyed working for him building a road in southern Missouri after my freshman year in college back in 1975.
While flowers are always nice and appreciated, the family would prefer donations on my father’s behalf to prostate and skin cancer research, and to the Mercy Hospice – St. Louis de Greeff Hospice House at 10025 Kennerly Road, St Louis MO 63128
Thank you,
Corey Grab
I dont think any of us can say that wasn’t a great man!
Because he truly was.
To me and the rest of my family he was just like a Father! To my Mother (Fran) he was the man she had always deserved. He treated her like a princess! He adored her and she love dhim dearly as well!
I didnt grow up with a good male
Role model. But that all changed when my Mom and Kent met.
In my opinion everyone should use Kent as a guideline on how to be as a person.
He was loving, giving, caring, gentle and funny.
He would give you the shirt off his back even if it was his last shirt.
He wanted more for others. And he wanted to share in the fun. He had a zest for life, like I’ve never seen.
There isn’t even time or thanks someone can give to someone like this.
I’ve always adored him because of who he was down to his fiber amd because he loved my Mom so much and treated us like we were his family. And I feel that the time they spent together helped my Mom heal from the bad marriage she had with my Dad.
Kent, we love you and miss you! And thank you for being in our lives!
I just hope you really knew how loved you were by us!
