In Loving Memory

Groom, Jr. Russell L.

June 12, 1963 - November 26, 2025

Russell Lee Groom Jr. born on June 12, 1963 in St. Louis to Russell Sr. and Judith (O’neal) Groom, entered his eternal rest on November 26, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength and an unwavering dedication to his family.
Russ graduated from Eureka High School, then worked in construction with his father. He later started his own landscaping, vending, and professional cleaning companies where he worked day and night for 20+ years providing for his family. He then worked at Browning Arms in the warehouse.
He was a member of the Land-of-Giants truck club, where he would fundraise to support different charities and show off his truck “The Hulkster”.
He loved to go off-roading in his Jeep, telling jokes, grilling, and making memories with his family.
Russell is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (Kimbrough), married December 10, 2022 in St. Louis; two daughters, Abigail (Taylor) Scott and Rachel (Charlie) Bailie; bonus-children Jaye (Ashley) Kimbrough, Jacob (Jaime) Kimbrough, and Jenna (Jimmy) Hardwick; grandchildren Maverick, Paislee and Caroline Scott, and bonus-grandchildren Ellie Kimbrough and Adrienne Green.
He is also survived by his mother, Judith, his three sisters Shelly (David) Meyer, Tabitha (Patrick) Haggie, and Jennifer; and his nieces and nephews, Matthew (Molly) Meyer, Emily Meyer, Emma Haggie, Julia Haggie, and Isabella Groom.
He is preceded in death by his father, Russell Sr, and his grandson, Weston Scott.
Russell will be remembered for his generosity, sense of humor, and the way he put his family first. His legacy lives on through every life he touched and he will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
May his memory be a blessing, and may his loved ones find comfort in the love he gave so freely.

Services:  Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road Wednesday, December 3, 2pm until service at 6pm.  Concludes at funeral home.

  2. Russ you will be missed. You always seemed to put other people first before yourself. We had many good times through our 45 yrs. I never forget when I meet you you had big blue and meet at the Shell in Fenton now Taco Bell. I remember tubing in the snow behind that truck and it had the biggest bumpers and roll bar I had ever seen in a truck. The fun we had at the parties in backyard at the house on Uthoff. All the BBQ you would cook all day for LandofGiants raising money for many different causes. The toy drives for the kids in the local area. I WILL MISS YOU BUDDY tell Ron hi for me

  4. Russ was a nice respectful guy at Browning. Every morning in break room he would be heating up his breakfast as I was getting coffee to start the day and would say have a good day. Remember the fun memories and embrace those💗! Prayers for his family and friends 🙏🩷. Lori
