age 62, passed away on February 22, 2020, Mike was born June 3, 1957 in St. Louis, MO, the son of the late Leroy “Frank” Guess and Mary (Holland) Guess. He graduated Steelville High School, Class of 1977. He then proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He worked for many years as a school bus driver for Steelville Schools, while serving as a patrolman for the Steelville Police Department, where he retired as Chief of Police. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling with his wife in their RV, doing security for Bad Boyz fireworks, and spending time with his kids and 8 grandkids. Mike accepted the Lord as his savior at a young age, but grew closer to the Lord in his later years.
Mike is survived by his wife, Tammy (Harris) Guess, of Affton, MO, his children from his previous marriage to Sandy (Hatton) Mitchell, daughter Latisha (Guess) Treece and husband Mark, of Leasburg, MO. Son Michael A. Guess, of Troy, MO, daughter RaChelle (Guess) Littich and husband Aaron of O’Fallon, MO, Gregory McDonald and fiancé Raven Dugger of St. Louis, MO. He was dear Poppy to grandkids Lillian, Madeline and Olivia Treece, Ailish Guess, Noah and Isaiah Littich, and Ava and Maverick McDonald. In-Laws Betty and Bob Figge, Dave and Joyce Hatton, Sisters Sharon Gott and husband Clyde, Brenda Fields and husband Keith, Tammy Knight, brother-in-laws Marvin Harris, Rod Hatton and wife Debbie, Sister-in-laws Sherry Lynn and Sherry Ann, dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Leroy “Frank” Guess, Mary Holland Guess, Frances A. Guess, sister Beverly Burke, brother Frankie Guess, son Kyle Wayne Anderson and loving Rottweiler Spice Girl.
Services: Memorial visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, on Saturday, March 7, 12 noon until memorial service at 2 p.m.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column]
