Beloved son of the late Oscar and Lora Hager; loving father of Marsha (Walter) Rodriguez and the late Dina Khoury-Hager; cherished grandfather of Isla and Easton; dear brother of Jane (the late Frank) LaChance, Kay (Gary) Henley, Vera (Paul) Clinton, Cheryl (Steve) Andrews, Gerald (Barbara) Hager, Sandra (Jim) Grimm, Connie (Dave) Wuebbels and the late Jack (Wanda) Hager, Jerry (Diane survives) Hager, Beatrice (Myles survives) Khoury, Louise Hager and Mary Alice Hager; Life partner of Tina Hager; our dear uncle of numerous nieces and nephews, cousin and friend.
Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Sunday, April 30, from 1:00 pm until service at 3:00 pm. Interment Poplar Bluff City Cemetery, Poplar Bluff, MO on Monday, May 1, 2023. Memorials to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital, The Shriners Hospitals for Children or Kait’s Love for Jaxx, appreciated.

He may be amongst the angels now but he was a kind of angel here on Earth. He had a certain kind of presence that you wanted to be around. A lighthearted sense of humor, a calming nature, and a caring smile. He seemed to always be thinking of his loved ones and it was that thoughtfulness that made you feel special and happy to be around him. I think if more people made kids feel as important as he made me feel, it would set an example for our world. He impacted my life in that way, and I’m lucky to say, he will live forever in my heart and mind.
