Tiffany Schuld Hager, born on June 25, 1973, passed away peacefully due to complications of a stroke on September 23, 2023, at de Greeff Hospice House. She was 50 years young. Her family is heartbroken by her departure from this earth.
A daughter, a wife, a sister, a dear friend, but most importantly the thing that made Tiffany most proud, a mother to her only child, daughter Brittney, her greatest accomplishment, the joy of her life, her best friend, her roommate, her partner in crime.
Tiffany worked for the United States Postal Service for 25 years, a proud active member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Local 343. She loved her job, her coworkers, and her customers. She was everyone’s favorite Mail Lady.
Tiffany embodied the phrase, a lover of life. She embraced life with her whole self and shared that love with everyone she encountered. Tiffany had a million-dollar smile that would light up a room and heart of gold to back it up. She was truly one of a kind.
Laughter was her true medicine, not a day passed without it – it was in her DNA, distinctive and infectious, you had to participate, it was an automatic reaction. Fun was the rule with Tiff! Cardinals and Blues games, travel, pool parties, wineries, concerts, shopping trips, going for the best pizza in town fifty miles away, charity events, float trips, bonfires, cooking on her Blackstone a new recipe she found and just had to try the list is endless – idle time was rarely the theme for a day.
A risk taker, Tiff was not one to sit on the sidelines and watch others, every opportunity was an adventure, she lived life with no regrets. She loved helicopter rides and if they were available, be prepared, she was going and dragging you along, like it or not.
Tiffany never met a stranger as the cliché goes – to know her was to love her and become her friend. Human or four legged and furry – she loved all animals and they loved her too. She often referred to herself as the “ice cream truck for dogs” on her delivery routes. Her pockets were always packed with treats. Often her furry customers knew the Mail Lady was coming before their owners and they greeted her with wagging tails and puppy kisses.
To know her was to love her, Tiffany touched so many lives – each of us holds a memory, we think of her and smile, we shed tears for the loss of her physical presence, we are better for having known her. If there is one thing, we would ask each of you taking the time to read this is to take a page from Tiffany’s life – try something new even if you don’t want to, go on the trip, you may not get another chance, smile more, be angry less. Forgive easily, give a hug when a hug is needed, tell your family and friends you love them, be honest, be true, be a light when darkness tries to rule. Live life like she did.
Tiffany is survived by her parents, Drew and Cindy (nee Walsh) Schuld, her daughter Brittney Hager, her ex-husband and closet friend, Leeroy Hager, her brother Chris (Lydia) Schuld, her brother in-law Terry (Samantha) Hager, her nephews, Terry (Brittanie) Hager, Zachary (Tara) Hager, Nicholas Hager, Kenny (Shannon) Dickinson, her niece Tiffany (Nick) Leavitt, her great nieces Savannah Hager and Cora Leavitt, her great-nephews, Terry, Asher and Oliver Hager, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tiffany is preceded in death by her Grandparents Bob and Joyce Walsh and John and Marge Schuld.
In addition to her family, Tiffany leaves behind so many close friends, not one of them less important than the next, some for just a brief time, but many for most of her wonderful life. Through Brittney, Tiffany was a second mom to many, her love, influence, and joy of life will continue for generations to come.
In lieu of flowers, we strongly encourage you to make a donation in Tiffany’s name to Stray Rescue www.strayrescue.org/donate or another animal rescue organization of your choice. As a grandma to Brittney’s kitties, Stormi and Sunny – this gesture of kindness and compassion for animals would make Tiffany happy.
Arrangements for Tiffany are being handled through Kutis Funeral home at 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Visitation is from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, September 28, 2023. A service will be held in the Kutis Chapel on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 2:00pm. Interment will be private at a later date.

She was so much more than our neighborhood mail carrier. She was a light, with the brightest smile every day. We had so many great conversations and found we had so much in common, including family. I truly loved her like a sister and will miss our daily visits. To say I will miss my friend dearly, is an understatement.
She was our mail lady and we loved her. She was always a bright spot in our day and left us happy each time we saw her. She’d always take the time for some kind words and laughter.
We will miss her and think of her often.

Tiffany worked the 1st half of her career with my beloved mother, Jean. They carried mail together and became the best of friends. My mom always talked about her and loved her very much. Then Tiffany transferred to my office and we carried mail together the 2nd half of her career! And what a privilege its been. I have many great memories of fun times together and I, too, love her very much. She was the kindest and most generous person I’ve ever known. RIP Tiff Tiff ❤ I will miss you dearly.

Tiffany was such a special person besides being our mail lady. Daisy would wait everyday for her treat and heaven forbid when Tiffany was on vacation she would be so disappointed I would have to sneak her one and act like it came from Tiffany.
I loved our little chats and will surely miss them. She always had a smile on her face and I always wondered if she ever had a bad day. Heaven got a special angel.

Tiffany was not just our mail carrier, she was my friend. I will miss her infectious smile and her hearty laugh. I could confide anything to her and she always listened.
Her last text to me was wishing me a happy birthday, Tiffany style, balloons and hearts and her smiling avatar. That same afternoon, she suffered a medical emergency.
Brittney, know that everyone on her route loved your mom so much.

Every day, Sophie and I would wait for the mail truck to come down the street. Sophie,🐶 because Tiff always had a treat for her and me, because no matter how badly my day started, Tiff’s million dollar smile and laughter would always make it better. Tiffany was our mail lady (before we moved 2 years ago), but she was so much more than that. Always efficient and dependable in her job, she was wonderful to chat with when we could time her arrival. Our entire street looked forward to celebrating her birthday by putting out cards, and we enjoyed giving her Christmas presents. If we had any problems or questions (even after moving), Tiffany was eager to help via telephone or text. How awesome to be so befriended by someone like Tiffany. Condolences, love, and prayers to the family and all her friends.

I will never forget Tiffany- her beautiful smile, her infectious laugh, and her willingness to always stop, turn off her truck, and give my dog Buddy loads of love and attention. We always knew when her “treat truck” was near, and on the rare days she was off, it was a huge disappointment. So very sorry to hear this about Tiffany. When we moved to the neighborhood she welcomed us and I could definitely see, from the first time I met her, the relationship she had with the neighbors. She was unlike any mail carrier I had ever had before! In a good way.

The mail truck came by today and I thought Stan would go crazy like he always did when she delivered the mail. But he seemed to realize it was not Tiffany and he totally ignored it. I don’t know how he knew but he did. We are all devastated by the loss of such an extraordinary person.

I enjoyed getting to know you throughout the years; enjoyed all of our laughs and rants on Rutledge Way, it was always true therapy! Your smile, your laughter and your kindness are contagious! You took such great care of Bella. She would hear you mailboxes away and would bolt to come see you. You always had a treat for her and always broke it up in multiple pieces so she’d enjoy it more and not just woof it down. Girl, you have a heart of gold! I’m stunned to hear of Tiffany’s passing.. I worked with her at Southwest Post office, years ago. A pleasure to be around. Always happy. Always smiling and positive. My thoughts are with her family. I will miss her.

I just found out about Tiffany’s death this evening (9-28) and was stunned to hear of it. I am so sorry this has happened to her, and at such a young age, and my sincere condolences to her family, especially her daughter Brittney, whom she so fondly spoke of many times.
Like others, she was our mail lady and friend, she was always such a delight to be around, we often spoke about many things, as so many others have said. She will be missed so much, going for the mail will never be the same. The last time we spoke she had been bitten by what she thought was a wasp, her arm very swollen, and in pain, but she was intent on completing her route. I offered ice, some Benedryl, she declined, and said she would take care of it later. I wonder if this had anything to do with her passing.
Just heard about Tiffany’s passing, after recently hearing of her medical emergency.. so sad to hear this! She was always so nice, happy and so friendly! On hot days if I saw her I would offer her anything cold – some days she would take it, other days she was well stocked. I can’t imagine the loss her family is feeling… my prayers and condolences to her family at this time. You will all be in my prayers. Heaven has definitely gained a true angel! I will definitely miss her smiling face and bubbly personality..

Tiffany was our mail carrier for the past 7 years. She was the best, from day one. She always had a smile on her face, was always a joy to talk to. She was so sweet to my daughters, even leaving letters from “Santa” around Christmas time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. She is home with Jesus, may she rest in peace.
Tiffany was such a beautiful soul with an infectious smile that could light a room. She was a dedicated union sister, who along with her dear friend Ramona volunteered countless hours at various union functions raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
