In Loving Memory

Ham, Nancy P. (nee Roesel)

October 22, 1950 - April 23, 2024

Nancy Phyllis Ham (Roesel), 73, of St. Louis, MO passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, surrounded by friends and family. Nancy was predeceased by her husband Jerry Ham, her parents Evelyn and Carl Roesel and her older brother Carl Roesel Jr.

Nancy was a devoted wife of 53 years to the late Jerry Ham, cherished mother to Lisa Maxey, Drew Ham (wife Jessica) and Amy Hyde (husband Phil), and adored ‘Nana’ to grandchildren Lucy, Paige, Oliver, Margo and Charlie. She is also survived by her two older sisters Joyce Bennett and Joan Ramshur.

Nancy was a dedicated pricing coordinator at Purina Animal Nutrition for over 41 years. Outside of work, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, vacationing with loved ones, going on walks in her neighborhood to stay active and an occasional night out at the casino. But above all, she was a family-first person. Nothing was more important to her than the happiness of her children and grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. Lastly, she was a person of faith. A person with strong belief that death reunites us with those that have passed before us. We are comforted by this, and smile at the thought of her being reunited with Jerry, her parents and brother in heaven. She will be sorely missed.

SERVICES:  Visitation will be held at Kutis Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Rd 63123) from 1-3pm on Saturday, May 18th. Following visitation, a short memorial service will also be held at Kutis beginning at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association | To be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.

  2. Prayers and blessings to Nancy’s family. This is not expected. LHSS was a while ago but Class of 68 is still remembering and praying for past classmates. Rejoice with Nancy believing in Christ.

  4. So sorry to hear about Nancy. Your family will be in our prayers.
We worked together for years. I always called her N.P. because of her office nameplate, N.P.Ham. I told her that stood for “No Problem.”
She was always so helpful, smart and witty. Maybe a little ornery. She will be greatly missed.
    God bless.
