In Loving Memory

Harper, Edward A.

July 6, 1939 - July 22, 2025

Edward A Harper was born on July 6, 1939 and passed peacefully from this world on July 22, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was the cherished son of Alben and Frances (McClanahan) Harper. Surrounded by family and friends, Ed and the family spent many summer vacations at Hilton Head Island. In his later years, he loved watching sports like golf and the Cardinal games on TV. 3. Ed Harper was a special friend to Warren and I for many years. He was laid back, fun to spend time with, and had the kind of laugh that warmed up a room. We spent many hours together, fishing, exchanging quick banter, and just laughing at the many stories both guys would tell, sitting on the back deck at the lake. I miss him already but will remember his quick wit, kind heart and that wonderful smile.

  4. We will truly miss that crazy guy. He was always a joy to have around. I must admit though he wasn’t much help in the Escape room or the Game room. He was a competitor playing golf but it was always a fun and enjoyable time. It was Valentine’s day at Piaza Messina and it was a marvel to me to see Ed in an apron serving a meal to Joan. Now that is true love. RIP dear friend. John & Karen
