Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Heinlein (nee Hubele); loving father of Tom (Cindy), Dan (Christy) and Rick (Theresa) Heinlein and Linda (Mark) Miner; dear grandfather of Drew (Kelsi), Claire, Matthew, Christopher, Rick, Tim, Michael and Nicholas Heinlein, Jack, Joe, Sarah and Lauren Miner; dear great-grandfather of James Heinlein; dear uncle and friend.

Richard is a graduate of St. Peter grade school and Eugene Coyle High School in Kirkwood.  He was a faithful member of Mary Queen of Peace Parish for 60 years.  He proudly served in the US Navy and retired from Union Electric/Ameren.  Richard was an avid golfer who loved his family dearly and will be missed by many.

Services: Private funeral mass will be held at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church with private burial at St. Peter Cemetery. Memorials to American Heart Association appreciated. A service of KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL.
