Passed away on Saturday, December 16th, 2023 in Sappington, Missouri.
Virginia was born May 29th, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri to her parents, Mamie Lee (nee Goslin) and Homer Lee White. She then went on to marry her husband, Robert “Bob” Hoffman in October of 1948. Virginia is preceded in death by both parents and her husband.
She is survived by her children, Donald “Don” Lee (Mary Heinricher) Hoffman and Richard “Rick” Gene (Linda “Lindy”) Hoffman; grandchildren, Kristan Lee (Robert) Shipley, Alex William Hoffman, and Austin Daniel Hoffman; and great grandchildren, Zoie Irene Dippel-Shipley, Charles William Evensen-Hoffman, and Benjamin Daniel Evensen-Hoffman.
Virginia will be buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with her husband.
Throughout her adult life, Virginia was very active in volunteer work in several organizations, including the Crestwood Women’s Club (past president) and the Sappington House Museum, serving in various roles and responsibilities in both. Bob and Virginia moved to Estes Park, Colorado after Bob’s retirement. There she owned and operated a gift shop “Time in the Woods” focusing on clocks and various hand crafted items from both local and global craftsmen.
SERVICES: A roadside service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Thursday, January 4th at 12:45 PM, with family and friends meeting at the boundary lot on Sheridan Rd at 12:30 PM to process into the cemetery.
Doug and I are so very sorry for your loss. We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss our sweet neighbor. May she rest in peace.
