Sister Christine was my 7th grade teacher at Our Lady of Sorrows. She was one of the younger sisters in residence while I was in gradeschool and was always pleasant and smiling. Sometimes she would join us girls on the playground in a game of volleyball.
My mother would drive the sisters to various medical appts as she was one of the few mothers who could drive and had access to the car during the day. Sister Christine would sometimes make these arrangements for the older sisters and would accompany them while mom drove.
I later remet Rosemary years later thru my sister’s friendship with Rosemary’s brother and sister in-law, who were involved with John the 23rd Club at SLU and continued the friendship all these years.
I hope sister Christine had a peaceful passing and will be looking for her in the future in her new recarnation. This idea she spoke of often these last few years.
