Larry Jenkins

In Loving Memory

Jenkins, Larry T.

Larry Jenkins

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Thomas Jenkins (BooBoo), age 56, of Arnold, Missouri. Larry entered into rest on June 29, 2025. He was born on August 18, 1968, and was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Wayne and Gail Jenkins.

Larry was a graduate of Cahokia High School and retired from Ameren after 35 years of dedicated service as a machinist. He was the devoted husband of Phyllis Jenkins (née Kinkead) and a loyal brother to Lisa Tolbird (Marko), Gary Jenkins (Susan), Patrick Jenkins (Sandy), and Gloria Middendorf.

He will be remembered as a caring brother-in-law, a compassionate uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and a doting father to his cherished fur and feathered babies. Larry was a respected friend to many, always ready and willing to lend a helping hand at a moment’s notice.

Known for his warm smile and even warmer laugh, Larry never met a stranger. His passion for life shone brightly through his many hobbies, which included a love for technology, animals, music, and vintage toys. He worked hard and treasured his time spent with family and friends.

Larry’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.

  1. I got to work with Larry. His passing really caught me by surprise. I had the opportunity to meet a really awesome human and he was gone before I knew it. I’ll miss Larry.

  2. I got the change to work with him, he was such a bright light- I loved all of his stories, about his dad’s pet squirrel, his aunts 50 year old sourdough bread-full of so much wisdom. Always willing to help, always with a smile.
