In Loving Memory

Joehl, Denelle

Denelle Joehl, 48, passed away Sunday, October 6. Loving mother of Haley Karlas and Elaine Karlas, daughter of Don and Marilynn Joehl, loving sister of Denise Joehl, Donald Joehl, Dianne (Joehl) Feltz, Doug Joehl and Debra (Joehl) Brown, and fun-loving, energetic aunt to Kelsi, Madison, Dee Dee, Ethan, Amelia Jane, Raymond and Marcus.

Denelle was a passionate early childhood educator at Webster Child Care Center and her dedication to her students and their families was unparalleled.
Denelle was passionate about her daughters, her four-legged best friend, Luna, dog rescue and adoption, and women’s rights. She loved attending live music and her all-time idol was Dave Grohl of The Foo Fighters. She radiated positivity with her contagious laughter, mischievous and goofy sense of humor, and big brown eyes that could convince you to do just about anything.

Denelle struggled with alcoholism, but did not allow her condition to keep her down and strived to become a better and healthier person every day. Denelle’s family will be memorializing her Tuesday October 15th from 4p.m.-7p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home located at 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129. In lieu of flowers, memorial designations can be made to Gateway Pet Guardians at 725 N 15th St, East St. Louis, IL 62205 or Webster Child Care Center at 624 Lohmann Forest Ln, St. Louis, MO 63119.
