  7. Janet and Joe, I am so sorry for your huge (literally) loss. Dave and I had recently met up in the last two years and rekindled our special friendship. Words cannot express what this friendship did for the both of us. It was an odd week if we didn’t talk three, four, or five times. We would share song lyrics with each other and reminisce over fond memories (especially about my dear friend Willie). Dave will always hold a special place in my heart. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I still message him hoping for a response. The two of you meant the world to him and so did his children. There were times when Dave and I would see periods of darkness in our lives and I can’t express how helpful he was to me in those time and I’d also like to think I helped him as well. I would give anything to be there to celebrate his life and wish I lived closer. Please know you guys are in my thoughts and prayers constantly.

  13. Hi Paul and Janet,

Dave was such a blessing to the American Red Cross in supporting us at our Lindell facility. Our facility team became not just acquaintances with David through his work, but friends. We are deeply sad in hearing about your loss but also grieve with your family as you move forward. God bless you and your family.
    Sincerely,
    Keith

Our hearts go out to you. Dave was a special person. My friend since kindergarten, my husband’s since grade school. He made us laugh, he made us cry, and boy did he love to aggravate. Every time I here a George Jones, Journey, or a mix tape of Jennifer’s Jam we will think of him and smile. He will always be in our hearts. We miss you buddy…..

  17. So sorry to hear of this very sad news. I met Dave back in 2012 when I started as Security officer at MSD. Dave would come in as a contractor and do work here at MSD and we became friends instantly. For everyone here that had the pleasure of knowing Dave, loved him. After several years of working in Security here, I became the Facility Manager and always knew, when I called Dave out to work on something, it was going to be done right and we would have a great time together. After I would call Dave out to do some work, I would let a couple coworkers know that Dave was on his way, and we would all instantly smile. That was the impact Dave had on everyone that was fortunate enough to know Dave. He and I, didn’t get to talk much outside of work but every time we saw each other, it was like we saw each other every day. He and I always knew we were there for each other, whether we were talking about personal things we were going through, talking about our kids, or talking about our dogs. Dave, it was such a pleasure knowing you and even more of a pleasure of calling you my friend. This news hurts my heart but please know that I know my life is better because I knew you and I hope I had even half the impact on your life, that you did on mine. You will be missed.
