Anna M. Kluempers (nee Burbon)
Called to her heavenly home on October 21, 2025. Anna was born on March 1, 1929 in Ziegler, Illinois to Jack and Anna (Semyraz) Burbon. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, James E. Kluempers.
She is survived by six children: Michael J. Kluempers, Katherine (Elbert) Cook, Patricia McCummiskey, Jane Stroud, Diane (Kevin) Moore, and James W. Kluempers. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul J. Kluempers; sisters Catherine (Barney) Schreiber, Mary (Howard) Roy; brothers Charles (Alice), Walter (Bonnie), Joe (Virginia) Burbon.
She is survived by her fifteen grandchildren: Michael, Kevin (Tiffany), Stephen (Brittany), William (Dave Onescu), and Jennifer Kluempers, Lisa (Nick) Meyer, Katie (Brian) Kinworthy, Jeremy (Melissa) Cook, Amy (Jeremy) Miller, Elizabeth (Joshua) Weseman, and Joshua Cook, Leslie (Tyler Roth) Schwend, Zachary Stroud, Colin and Ethan Moore. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
In her life of 96 years, Anna was a loving wife, caring mother and grandmother, a helpful volunteer, and a compassionate giver to her favored charities. She was actively involved in the Ladies Auxiliaries of the Big River VFW Post 5331 in Cedar Hill and the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 343. She volunteered alongside her husband, Jim, at numerous events and fundraisers over the decades. She enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, cooking, planting flowers, reading, and watching the old Western TV shows and movies.
SERVICE: Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel Wednesday, October 29th 12 Noon. . Interment JB National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, St. Bonaventure Indian Mission & School, or a charity of your choosing. Visitation Tuesday 4:00-8:00 PM.
A wonderful lady, my favorite aunt. Rest in peace.

Anna was fun loving and always full of laughter. She volunteered in the Ladies Auxiliary and many events of local letter carriers Br 343 St Louis that husband Jim belonged. We were lucky to meet and laugh with many of her family as they joined in festivities. Rest in peace.

Anna was my aunt but she was more like a big sister to me! She lived with our family from the time she was in 8th grade at St. Pius and I was in Kindergarten until she married Jim in 1950,. She was a gentle and loving person, and I loved her!
