Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Ken Kraus passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a life marked by devotion, energy, and a zest for adventure.
Ken was the beloved husband of Kelley Kraus (née Crocker) and the proud father of Kyler and Alex Kraus. He was the treasured son of Kenneth and Linda Kraus Sr. and a loving brother to Michael (Kristi) and Steven (Kristin) Kraus. A beloved son-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and a friend to many, Ken’s presence was felt in a wide circle of family and friends.
A man of boundless spirit, Ken lived a life that rarely stood still. Whether racing across the water on skis, gliding across an ice rink playing hockey, or running the soccer field with unwavering vigor, Ken’s love for adventure knew no bounds. He thrived in motion, always eager for the next challenge, the next moment of joy. Ken’s greatest devotion was to the people he loved. His unrelenting enthusiasm was matched by his generosity of heart—a man who gave freely of himself to those around him. To his family and friends, he was not only a devoted father and husband but also a wellspring of energy, humor, and love.
A proud graduate of St. Paul Catholic Grade School in Fenton, Ken went on to attend St. John Vianney High School, where his love for adventure and athletics began to shine.
He then attended Southwest Missouri State University and later graduated from UMSL, where he built the foundation for a dedicated and successful career. For years, Ken was a well-respected colleague at Enterprise Holdings, known for his professionalism, camaraderie, and commitment.
Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Rd., on Monday, October 28 at 9:15 a.m. to St. Paul Catholic Church in Fenton for 10:00 am. Mass. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.

My dear brother in law and friend. The empty place at the table for holidays, birthdays, family get togethers and the impromptu drop-ins, will always leave an ache in our hearts. We’ll take good care of Kelley, Kyler and Alex. You are loved, treasured and missed more than words can express.
I have known Ken since his Vianney days. What a true gentleman.
A true sportsman. God bless him and his family.
Kenny,
Thank you for letting me be a close friend, sports member, and showing me the way of the world you lived in. I am honored to have you as a friend as well as a patient who trusted me with your health. It is at these times where all you can do is be there for support for your family and friends. You feel helpless and wish you can do more especially being a doctor. I’m saddened to see you go, but I know good people always pave the way. Till we see each other again. God bless you and your family. Love you buddy. Dr cc
My deepest condolences to the Kraus family. Ken was a great guy on the ice and even nicer off the ice. Had a great time skiing with Ken at Lake Tahoe along with Gill and his sister, many fun times with Ken!
Kelly and family,
I am so very sorry to hear about Ken‘s passing. My heart goes out to all of you at this time. If you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to reach out.
I just started playing hockey with Kenny 5 years ago. We had the same interests in Family, hockey and water sports.
We rarely played together and always seemed to be on the ice at the same time. I’ve never had more collisions with someone that got up and stick tapped me with a guy nod knowing we were just going hard.
We never got out on the meramec wake surfing, and now I’ll think about him every time I do.
I looked at those pictures and know that he lived his life not worrying about tomorrow, and I will continue to live the same way.
If this works out the way we planned, I’ll see you on the parking lot up there buddy.
