It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Kosta Lalo unexpectedly passing on October 25, 2025, at the age of 60. He was born in Gjirokaster, Albania. He was preceded in death by his father, Jorgo Lialou; his mother, Maria (Zoto) Lialou; and his brother-in-law Minas Kanavou.
He is survived by his wife Gena Hyskollari of 21 years and their daughters: Efthalia and Maria Lalo. He also leaves behind; his sister, Chrisanthi (Lialou) Kanavou, along with nieces Anthulla and Maria, and nephew Dhimitri; as well as other family members, Gezim (Xhezmije) Hyskollari, Rezarta (Ervin) Kraja, Gerhard (Jourdan) Hyskollari, Jonuz (Lume) Dajko, Kristina (Pete) Rehg.
Kosta was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all his cousins and his friends. We will cherish him forever.
SERVICES: Visitation will be held at Kutis Funeral Home Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Rd. St. Louis, MO. 63123) on Thursday October 30, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
Depart from Kutis Affton on Friday, October 31, at 10:00 AM for a 10:30 AM service at St. Matthew Cemetery.
I am so sorry for the loss of Gus. He was such a kind, sweet man. My husband Bob loved having Gus as a friend and employee. I so enjoyed talking with Gus every day before leaving work. He will be missed. I am praying for your family during this sad time. Sending love and hugs.
This was one of those I couldn’t believe he’s gone to promised land. Kosta was one of the kindest human beings to walk this earth. I’m truly heart broken for his family. He was the kind of person that would help fix anything in any house refusing payment. He will be missed by many.
