William Losh

In Loving Memory

Losh, William “Bill”

June 15, 1950 - August 21, 2023

William “Bill” Losh was born 6/15/1950 in Barnhart, MO and went home to glory on 8/21/2023.

His parents were Dawsey Losh and Jean (Baltimore) Losh who preceded him in death along with his daughter Lisa Losh.  Bill was the beloved husband to Lillie (Bryant) Losh of 29 years.  Cherishing his memory is daughter Darla Huelskoetter, son, William “Billy” (Jodi) Losh Jr., grandchildren, Ryan, Brett, Taylor, Lindsay, Billy, Bubby, and Blake, great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Georgia Josephine, and Jinny, and many other relatives and friends.

Bill’s faith was paramount to everything he did.  He was a walking billboard for the love of Jesus.  Mark 12:30 describes Bill’s extraordinary faith which is:  You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.

When Bill was 17 years old, he became an over the road truck driver.  He received a million mile award for outstanding professional driving by achieving one million safe driving miles. After that, he had his own trucking company named Lillie Hauling until he retired.

Bill was a country boy who loved fishing all his life.  In his older years, he became an avid golfer.

Services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. for family viewing, 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. visitation, 12:30 p.m. celebration of Life Service. Immediately following service, burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

  4. God’s peace and grace to you Lillie and to your loved ones. I first met Bill in the mid nineteen seventies when he got saved and started coming to our church. Many years passed and I became his last golf partner. I’m sure he has a tee time in the future waiting for us. Bill brought kindness, friendship and laughter everywhere he went.
Never afraid to let anyone know of his grateful love for his savior, he was always ready to share his faith and the hope within him for this day.
We won a lot… but this time he won the greatest prize of all….

It’s been a long time, but if you want to talk call me anytime day or night.

  12. Dearest Lillie,
I am so grateful that God allowed us to become friends. We enjoyed spending time with you and Bill and his humor and laughter touched us, especially young Nathan, deeply. It is evident your love for the LORD and your love for each other. I will miss overhearing “I love your face” on our walks at the close of your phone calls. The ending of your calls always made me chuckle as I had no understanding. But when he shared his experiences with God with my husband and myself and as he shared his salvation testimony, I clearly understood the phrase, “I love your face…” as a close to your conversations.

We love you and we are praying for you.

  13. Billy was our golf partner at the prairies golf course in Cahokia Illinois. What a fun loving guy we had no idea he passed he will be sorely missed.
