Kimberly Ann Markum Thursday, May 15, 2025.  Dear daughter of Patsy (nee: Hyde) and the late Wayne Markum; dear mom of Deanna (Matt) Shute, Leslie (Rob) Townsend, dear grandma of Caydie Hargrave and Carson Shute; dear sister of Rick (Lynn) Markum; dear niece of Eddie (Judy) Markum and many other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and the worlds greatest friends.  Dear friend and first love of the late Warren Hargrave and survived by Joe Bivins.

She loved fiercely and impacted every person who met her.  She lived her life to the fullest.  She lived for her mother, kids and grandkids.  She had a group of friends that went to the greatest lengths for her and she did the same for them.

Services:  Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road Sunday, May 18, 2025, 10am.  Interment Valhalla Cemetery Belleville, IL.  Memorial contributions to Autism Speaks, appreciated.  Visitation Saturday, May 17, 4-8pm.

  2. I’m so very sorry about your loss. I would love to make it but unfortunately I can’t with my work and the kids last week of school. Prayers and sending lots of love your way for all of your family. My momma and her best friend now knows the “ secret “. They are dancing and singing up there watching all of us.   3. I’m soo sorry Deanna for the loss of your sweet mother! She was such a big help with Carson and they loved each other so much! I’m sure she stayed as long as she could but now she can enjoy all the love, healing and peace with God and loved ones up there! She’ll be a guardian angel for all of you! Keep talking to her cuz she can always hear you and is closer than we think! Sending lots of hugs and love!💗

  6. To one of my old friend, I remember the day I met you with Warren, instantly gave you and him your nickname Smurf and Smurfet and you were ok with it, I just knew we’d be friends, Rip Kim say hi to my Buddy Warren up there

    I did not know you very long but connected with you and Deanna from the first time I was fitting you. You said to me you are just like my daughter!!! I will miss seeing you and your sassy comments 😢 but know you are no longer suffering. My thoughts and prayers for you all during this tough time.

  8. Kim was like a second mom to me. I didn’t have much in high-school and they accepted me with open arms. Leslie and I were the best of friends. I will never forget Kim. She was so beautiful inside and out. She really loved spending time at the slots just for fun. She had a way of making me laugh even in the saddest times. If I would have known she was doing poorly, I would have reached out. But I will see her again someday. Fly high miss k.
