Mattingly, John T. “Doc” “J.T.” “Tom” Friday June 21, 2024. Former husband of Barbara J. Mattingly (nee Hill). Dear Companion of Ann Reitz (nee Heard). Dear father of Molly (George) Mattingly, Debbie (Ron) Roth, Mike (Joan) Mattingly, Matt (Alice) Mattingly, Peggy (Mike) Glore, Marty (Julie) Mattingly and Tim (Cristina) Mattingly. Dear brother of Charlie Mattingly and the late Elizabeth “Boots” (survived by Larry) Miller. Our dear grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle and friend.

Dr. Mattingly was a longtime dentist in South County. He was a graduate of St. Louis University Dental School class of 1959 and served in the U. S. Air Force. He was a member of the Greater St. Louis Dental Society, Missouri Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He also loved hunting and fishing.

Funeral services will be private. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriner’s Hospital appreciated.

    Taking care of my teeth all through childhood, free of charge.
    Taking our family into his home during some difficult times.
    Raising 7 amazing, successful children, my cousins, whom I love dearly.
