Lisa Renee Maxwell (Rogers) entered into the embrace of Heaven on the morning of Monday, April 6, 2026, at the age of 62. She passed peacefully in her sleep after suffering from complications of many chronic conditions.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ada MulHolland and Andrew Jackson Rogers, her brother David Rogers, and her twin babies Jason Cardillo and Ada Cardillo. She was a beloved wife to her husband John Maxwell. She was a loving mother to her children Michelle Heffernan, Gary Heffernan, Jennifer Vitale, Shlanda Burch, Joshua Genovese, Breeanna Madrigal, and Sean Maxwell. She was a loyal sister to her siblings Connie Rogers, Terry Reaves, Kimberly Wilkins, and Michael Rogers. She was a doting and adoring grandmother to her many grandchildren.
Lisa touched many lives through her work as a registered nurse. She spent many years caring for hospice patients and their families, offering comfort and support to those who needed it most. She is remembered and revered for her work with the vulnerable, who were always grateful for her empathy and expertise.
Lisa Maxwell’s greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. Her passion was gathering her loved ones around her, where she could create the most decadent meals and share in laughter with the people who meant the most. She spent her years creating and nurturing a loving family that she was most proud of. Through to the end of her days, the thing she loved the most was to reminisce on all the precious memories she was pivotal in creating.
Lisa loved to spend time with family, travel, create beauty through her crafts, nurture life into her garden, and cook delicious meals for those she loved. She believed life existed in the small, simple moments. Like laughing at a good joke, taking in a beautiful sunset, the smell of the ocean, or cuddling a sleepy baby. Her hope in life was to leave a legacy of love that her family can hold close through their days.
