Fell asleep into Jesus’ arms, exactly 21 years after her baptism, on Friday, August 2, 2019.

Beloved daughter of Jennifer (Joseph) Smith and Christopher (Jasmine) McCartney; dearest granddaughter of Richard (Lois) Moody, Virginia, and the late Bob (surviving Donna) McCartney; loving sister of Kevin, Cody, Tommy, Sofia, Paige, Kyle, Vanessa, Nick, Bella, Aubrie and Wyatt; dear niece, great niece, cousin and friend to many.

“Philippians 4:13 – I can do all this through Christ who gives me strength,”

While in high school at Ste. Genevieve, Francis Howell, and finally Lutheran South, Jessica was head of the marching band, played in the concert band, jazz band, and sang on the concert choir. She also participated in track and field.

SERVICES: Funeral at Holy Cross Lutheran Church for the Deaf, 7291 Sarah Ave., Saturday, August 10, 10:00 AM. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hope Creates, https://hopecreates.org/, or Harris House, https://www.harrishousestl.org/. Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, Friday, August 9, 3:00 – 8:00 PM.
