McCoy, Doctor Charles H. McCoy

 

 

Charles H. McCoy of Washington County Missouri passed away on Sunday February
19, 2017 at 2:30 pm. He was 82 years old. He was born in Mississippi County
Arkansas on May 29, 1934 to Charles and Velma (Cook) McCoy.
Charles being the eldest of ten children, raised his brothers and sisters when his Mother
died in a home fire at age 17. His Father was bedridden for the remainder of his days.
Six of his brothers and sisters are now deceased. He leaves four behind.
Charles served in the US Army and married Wanda (Page) McCoy which they had three
children, David, Julia and Carla. Wanda deceased in 2006.
Charles was a hard working man. He worked for Graham Paper Company for twenty
years, had multiple real estate investments, and was a Pastor for over fifty years.
Charles went back to school later in his life, and earned a Masters of Religious
Education Degree in 1982, and then a Doctor of Theology Degree in 1988.
Charles was always helping others. He had a food bank at his church, St. Louis Gospel
Tabernacle every Saturday for years helping those in need.
Charles is survived by his wife of more than 30 years Cheryl (Gunby) McCoy. They had
two children Paul and Sarah.
Charles had ten Grandchildren. Angie, Vanessa, Joshua, Jacob, Alexis Luke, Matthew,
Mark, John and Faith.
Charles had fifteen Great Grandchildren. Haylee, Charlie, Lilly, Henry, Kaleb, Emma,
Sophia, Isabella, Layla, Taylor, Grace, Gabriel (deceased) Tessa, Eve and Molly.
Visitation at Kutis Funeral Home 10151 Gravois Affton, MO. 63123, Friday February 24,
2017 at 12:30pm.
Burial at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery 2900 Sheridan St. Louis, MO. 63125, Friday
February 24, 2017 at 2:30pm.
