John D. Meyer, Jr., aged 69, passed away in the arms of Jesus at his home on October 26, 2024. Born on December 17, 1954, he was the cherished son of the late John D. and Carol Meyer.
John leaves behind a loving family: his wife, Anne Dailey Meyer; sons, John Edward Meyer and Will Dailey Meyer; and his beloved chocolate labs, Gram and Roux; dear nephew, cousin, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many.
John was a proud alumnus of Augustinian Academy and St. Louis University, where he earned a BA, MBA, and JD. His professional life was dedicated to The Muny, the legendary outdoor musical theater, where he recently retired as the Director of Human Resources after a distinguished 53-year career.
John’s legacy is marked by his profound dedication to his family and to his career. His quiet leadership left an enduring impact on many. He was a loving, good, and kind man.
SERVICES: Funeral at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd., 63123) on Thursday, October 31st at 10:00 AM. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions made to the Humane Society or charity of choice are greatly appreciated.

Anne, I am so sorry to hear about John. My thoughts are with you and the boys. John was such a wonderful friend and co-worker for so many years. I moved to Kansas and can’t make the funeral, but please know I’m thinking of you.
