Richard F. Meyer, 86, ran into the arms of Jesus on Monday, March 30, 2026. Richard will be remembered above all as a devoted man of faith. A true prayer warrior, he faithfully lifted up family, friends, and countless others in prayer throughout his life. His quiet strength and unwavering commitment to Christ were evident in both his words and his actions, serving as a steady witness and source of encouragement to all who knew him. He lived out his faith with deep compassion and empathy, always ready to quietly help those who crossed his path and were in need. His life was rooted in what mattered most to him—his faith, his family, and his love of the game of golf, where he found joy, friendship, and plenty of stories to share, earning his nickname “Mad Dog” for his passionate play— occasionally sending a club flying into a tree or a lake—much to the amusement of those lucky enough to play alongside him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Linda A. (Schneider) Meyer; his daughters, Christy (Cory) Weber and Julie (Derek) Kalista; and his cherished grandchildren, Cheyenne (Nick) Cash, Joshua Kalista, Melena Weber, Evan Weber, and Emily Kalista. Loving son of the late Fred and Roslyn (Bohnert) Meyer; dear brother of Dave (Joyce) Meyer, Joyce Pippins, Paul (Marie) Meyer, Linda (the late Bob) Lampen, Joan (Joe) Harwell, and Don (Debbie) Meyer; and the late Carolyn (the late Don) Becherer. Beloved uncle, cousin, friend, and golf buddy to many.
