In Loving Memory

Must, Selmir

January 8, 1977 - September 30, 2023

It is with heavy heart we announce the passing of Selmir Must who left this world on September 30, 2023, at the age of 46.

Selmir is survived by his wife and soulmate, Heather Must (nee Timmings). He was extremely close to his mother and father in-law, Kenneth and Mary Lapponese; sister in-law Jennifer Bittner (Dan), and nephew Nicholas Bittner. In addition, he is survived by his mother Senka Pajazetovic (Mustafa) of Velika Kladusa, Bosnia and Herzegovina; father, Jasmin Mustedanagic (Zekja); siblings, Amela Dautovic (Emin), Emil Pajazetovic (Jasmina), Zlata Mustedanagic, Zinajda Samardzic, Dinko Mustedanagic, Dino Mustedanagic, Alma Pajazetovic; Aunt and Uncle Mirzeta Sabic (Ferid); cousins Ajla Wright (Adam), Alen Sabic (Felicia); as well as many other cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Feho and Semsa Keserovic of Velika Kladusa, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Selmir was born in Velika Kladusa, Bosnia and Herzogovina.  He came to the United States in 1997 and was so proud to be in America that he said he kissed and hugged everyone as he got off the plane.

He sought knowledge and was amazingly smart, reading everything he could get his hands on until the day he died.  Knowledge was power to Selmir.  You could talk to him about anything, and he would give you his thoughts and the facts but never pushed his beliefs upon anyone.

He was a member of Teamsters Local Union #604 and involved in the rescue of many street cats in the St. Louis area.

He had a love for animals that was unmatched by any other. He was such a loving and protective man especially of his “love” and “universe”, Heather.

Selmir was loved dearly by many. Our world lost an amazing man and heaven gained an Angel.

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Sunday, October 15 from 12:00 noon until funeral service time at 3:00 pm. Interment will be held in private. In lieu of flowers contributions to full-circle-mo-feral https://www.fullcirclemoferal.org/ appreciated.

Condolences

Selmir was such a kind soul and an amazing cat daddy to every cat that he came across. He helped so many community cats and also helped the other community cat feeders in St. Louis.
His love for his soulmate Heather was felt every time we talked.

The world was a better place with him…heaven indeed received an angel.
