Lee Ivan Nations, age 91, of Imperial, Missouri, passed away on July 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, honesty, and unwavering support for those he loved.
Born on February 8, 1934, he was the son of Joe J. Nations and Iva M. Nations Craft (née Vaughn). Lee lived a life rooted in strong values and simple joys. A union carpenter by trade, he took pride in building things with his hands—and even greater pride in building up the people around him. His compassion, curiosity, and humor made him a natural confidant and friend.
Lee loved remodeling projects, woodworking, and spending time with his beloved dogs and cats. In earlier years, he enjoyed motorcycles and speedboats, often racing his cherished Indian and BSA bikes. Above all, he and his late wife, Doris Willimann Nations, dedicated themselves to helping others in any way they could.
A devoted member of Saint Luke’s UCC in Barnhart, Lee lived by the golden rule and will be remembered as the man who always showed up when it mattered, and who could even turn a quick phone call or a goodbye into an hour of connection.
He is survived by two children, four stepchildren, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one niece, and dear cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Nations, and stepson Don Wendler.

So very sorry to hear of Lee’s passing. No truer words describing what a kind gentleman in his obituary. Lived across from my parents on family property for many years. Always looked out for everyone. True friend to my parents.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know he will be missed. Healing vibes for all.💕
I grew up hearing my late Dad, Jim Simpson, formerly of Glencoe,MO, speak good things about Lee Nations back when he worked for Papin Builders, a home building company. Yes, Lee’s name was mentioned quite a few times back then. My own Dad-Jim ,passed a year ago 2024.
May the Lord Jesus Christ comfort the family & neighbors/friends.
