  1. He was the best guy, friend and neighbor I have ever known! Loved that I could “Dish it out to him” and he would “Dish it right back!” We will miss his sarcasm that always was followed by something nice-even if he may not have believed it. We are going to miss you Big Guy! You will never be replaced. ❤️

  2. I had the pleasure of teaching Rick when he was in high school. He was every teacher’s dream. His kindness was the main thing I noticed about him. He was a popular student, and he was liked by both teachers and students. His family has my deepest sympathy.

  3. I’ll miss our Wednesdays at the golf course talking sports, politics, cooking and in general solving the world’s problems. Only knew him for a few years. But the memories are lasting. Big hug to the family.

  4. To my brother,

    Thank you for:
    – Wrestling matches in the back yard.
    – Neighborhood softball games.
    – Helping make lunch during the summer days, when both parents worked.
    – Giving me my first cigarette (oh well).
    – Letting me join the Saturday league bowling team.
    – Teaching me to fish, traveling to those lakes by bike or an old Rambler, and
then taking me again when Dad died.
    – Committing minor acts of juvenile vandalism, but never crossing the line.
    – Giving me your clothes, furniture, and my first bed for college.
    – Showing the importance of a happy family (kids to grandkids) and
    neighbors.
    – All those wonderful afternoons in your backyard for pool, BBQ, beer, and
    cocktails.
    – Always wanting to debate and argue for 30 years but never, ever, having me
    leaving with any ill feelings.

For all of this I am forever grateful and will miss you dearly. But I’ll see you at the fishing lake someday.

    Your brother, Carey
