Dear son of Frank and Elizabeth (nee Licavoli) Palermo; beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Ladda) and Mary (nee Cissell); loving father of Raymond (Naomi) Palermo, the late Maria Palermo, Debbie (Bill) Flynn, Chris (the late Kathy) Palermo, Gino (Kate) Palermo and Gena Drake; cherished grandfather of Bill (Katie) Flynn Jr., Tom (Michelle) Flynn, Mike (Devan) Flynn, and Ethan VanDusen; “Great Grandpa Joe” to Connor, Carter, Samantha, Michael, Natalie, Joseph, Annabelle and Gabriella; loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
Joe was a movie enthusiast who loved to travel the world with his best friend Pat Butler. He loved Cardinals Baseball and Blues Hockey and worked as a vendor for both organizations for over 50 years. You could always find Joe at the main gate of Busch Stadium selling programs, challenging customers with Cardinal trivia questions and interacting with fans which was a true love and passion of his.
Services: Funeral from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Monday, November 1, 10:30 am to St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church for 11 am Mass. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial contributions to St. Louis VA Fisher House appreciated. Visitation Sunday 4-8 pm.
