In Loving Memory

Perkins, Beverly J.

September 19, 1940 - March 13, 2025

Beverly J. Perkins, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and educator, passed away on March 13, 2025. She was married to Walter Perkins on February 28, 1959, and together they built a life filled with love, family, and unwavering dedication to others.
She was joyfully welcomed into heaven by her daughter Brenda Perkins, son-in-law Stewart Davis, granddaughter Randi Perkins, grandsons Jason Moore, Noah Goodwin, and her parents, Phillip and Grace Wilde, along with countless loved ones who remain dearly missed in our hearts.
Beverly’s legacy lives on through those who loved her most—her children: Kevin (Donna) Perkins of Villa Ridge, David (Annette) Perkins of Jefferson City, and Nancy (David) Lewis of Navasota, Texas. She was the cherished grandmother to Christina (Jeremy) Conley, Rochelle (Pete) Maubach, and Philip (Joline) Perkins, Zachary (Courtney) Davis and Elizabeth (Paul) Kinn, and Misty (Ryan) Goodwin. Her love extended to her Seven great-grandsons and two great granddaughters: Josh (Kimberly) Moore, Christopher, Austin James (AJ), Jayna, Bryce, Skylar, Matthew, Lane and Amelia and Great Great grandchildren Grayson and Emma.
To those who knew her, Beverly was more than a name—she was Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Aunt, Cousin, and Mrs. Perkins. These weren’t just titles; they were honors, each one carrying deep meaning and a lifetime of love.
In 1960, Beverly embarked on her most cherished role—motherhood. After raising her four children, she pursued a lifelong dream of working with children, beginning as a bus driver for the Fox C-6 School District in 1974. Her passion for education led her to earn her first degree from Jefferson College in 1986, followed by a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1988. She brought her magic to the classroom as a fourth-grade teacher before continuing her journey with a Master’s degree from Lindenwood University in 1992. Her dedication to education culminated in her role as an elementary assistant principal in 1995, before becoming the beloved principal of Meramec Heights Elementary in 1997—a position she held until her retirement in 2004.
Beverly’s 30-year legacy in education is reflected in the lives she touched—her students, her own children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had an uncanny ability to find the right words, offer a listening ear, and model compassion in every aspect of her life. Her impact will be felt for generations to come.
She will be forever missed, deeply loved, and never forgotten.

Services:  Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel Tuesday. March 18, 10am.  Interment Park Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation Monday 5-8pm.

  4. Beverly has been my neighbor for the past 18 years. We became so close over these years that I count her as a sister. She and Walter helped me with my aged parents when I needed them. Bev was a best freind to my Mom, keeping her entertained when I worked. I cannot express the respect, love and gratitude my heart holds for this lovely lady.
I pray for her family that their sorrow be eased knowing that not a day will pass that I or one of my family does not offer a prayer to God in thanks for putting Beverly in our lives. God’s grace be with you my sweetest lady.
