Reeves

In Loving Memory

Reeves, Robert Joseph “Bob”

April 8, 1965 - June 27, 2025

Robert Joseph Reeves, “Bob”, age 60, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loved ones on June 27, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri after a fierce battle with lung, brain, and bone cancer. Bob was a man of faith and family. He was a loving and devoted husband to Susan Reeves (nee Ehnes), a supportive and warm father to Sarah (Zach) and Nicole (Greg), and a beloved brother to Rick and Ron (Esther). He was a dear son-in-law to Joyce and Gerald (Barbara); brother-in-law to Linda, Jerry, Michael (Carrie), and Scott (Amy); uncle to Michael, Shelby (Rich), Melanie (Aaron), Andrew, Emma, Mackenzie, and Charlie; and a great-uncle to Ella and Piper. He was a friend, a brother-in-Christ, and a mentor to many.

Born on April 8, 1965 to the late Richard Reeves and Elizabeth J. Baldus Larimore in Belleville, IL, Bob spent his early life developing a love for all things mechanical. It was well known that there wasn’t a thing Bob couldn’t fix. As Bob grew, so did his wisdom, which he would generously pass on to those who asked. One sentiment Bob shared with all was to, “remember, 2+2 = 4, but so does 3+1,” reminding us to keep an open mind and appreciate the perspective of others. A unique man himself, Bob valued the qualities that made each person special and encouraged others to do the same.

Bob was not only dedicated to his family, but to serving the Lord. An active member of Gateway Christian Church, he spent much of his time lending a hand to those in need, be it setting up chairs for service, mowing a lawn, fixing a bicycle up to be donated to a child in need, rescuing a friend when their vehicle stranded them, mentoring those reentering the workforce after time in prison, or offering a listening ear and a prayer to someone in need. His favorite verse was, Ephesians 6:13, “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm,” which offered him the strength and courage to face life’s challenges with faith, perseverance, and supplication.

In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring Bob’s memory by donating to Love the LouOperation Storehouse, or Feed My Starving Children, all organizations Bob volunteered with and held close to his heart.

Services: A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at Gateway Christian Church (1951 Des Peres Rd. St. Louis, MO 63131) on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 3:00 pm. Bob would have asked you to come as you are-no tie necessary. He never went anywhere without his hat, so his family welcomes you to wear one in his honor.

  1. Bob Reeves is one of the kindest, most generous, and hardest working men I have ever had the pleasure of calling a friend. He did so much for every teacher, administrator, and student in the Bayless School District during his time working there. I am lucky to have been a friend of his and I will miss him dearly.

  3. I worked for Bob for about a year. I came to Bayless in Feb of 2024 from Mehlville. My favorite thing about Bob is he was personable and he checked on the custodians everyday. I remember getting texts from him how are you all doing in the elementary? I talked Cardinals baseball with him as well. I will miss him. Rest in peace sir you will be missed.
