Schmedeke, Mary Ann (Ruggeri)

May 15, 1940 - December 22, 2025

Mary Ann (Ruggeri) Schmedeke, 85, of Imperial, MO passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025. Born on May 15, 1940, in St Louis, MO to Constantino Ruggeri and Rose Grace Figliolo, Graduated from O’Fallon Technical High School in 1958. She married William James Schmedeke her highschool sweetheart in 1967, and they shared 58 wonderful years before her passing. A devoted, inspirational, and loving mother to Stacey Schmedeke, and Dana Veselske (Brian). Adoring and compassionate Mama Feetiepie to Jessica & Logan Veselske. The best dog mom to Charli Rose. A mothering Aunt to Steve Bryzeal (Jan) and Mark Bryzeal. Dearest Aunt, Friend, and cousin to many. Mary Ann had a love for cooking for all family and friends. She also had a green thumb that she could make anything thrive in its environment. Her best days were spent taking in all of the many sports games of her daughters and then granddaughters and also enjoyed traveling to a beach or the many trips to Vegas with Bill.

Services: A visitation will be held Thursday January 8, 2026 at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, from 10am – 12pm with a short memorial service to follow. Processional will be after with a brief interment at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery at 1pm.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to American Heart Association, appreciated.

  1. Mary Ann was always a beautiful breath of fresh air at all the girls softball games. Always smiling and always dressed to the 9’s! I sure know I have great memories being around her, I can only imagine how many you all must have to cherish!

    I am so very sorry for your loss of your beautiful Momma. I was blessed by her, she had a sweet spirit. She will definitely be missed, but according to God‘s promises, we will see her again. Love and prayers to all of you as you go through this time of grieving. 🥰

  5. Bill, Dana and Stacey, I’m so sorry for your loss. My aunt Mary Ann was the sweetest and always had a beautiful smile on her face. She adored Bill and he was the great love of her life. I thought of her often and would call her on her birthday. My mother and her shared the same birth date. May she rest in peace as she joins her mom, dad, sister (Isabele) and brothers (Tony, Phil and Roy).
