  1. So sorry to hear of Rick’s passing. I have known Rick since kindergarten and we were in Cub Scouts together and played on the same baseball teams for 6 years. We went all through school together. After graduation we didn’t see each other until we reconnected about 25 years ago as we both owned vintage Plymouth musclecars. We would see each other when he came back to Johnstown. I will never forget Rick and send my deepest sympathy to all. He was such a great person ! Dave and Carm Meiklejohn

  2. Rick and I have been friends since the 6th grade. I always consider him as my brother. We went through school together and even started in the mines the same day. We had done so much throughout the years. We always made sure that we called each other on our birthdays. When he would come to Johnstown, he would stay at my families house. He did accept Jesus as his personal savior and I believe that he is in heaven. Rick, I will deeply miss you and cherish all the time that we shared. Until we meet again.

  3. Rick was one of my favorite cousins. We played together as little children–climbed trees, swam in ponds, played baseball at family reunions, and our families were very close. He was so strong in his faith and fought with all his might against his cancer. Rest in peace, my sweet cousin.

    • I replied to your name since it was the same last name as Rick. I was in the USAF with Rick and we shared a trailer with a 3rd friend off base in GA. He always remembered my birthday on March 5 as I did his on March 7. I tried to call him today and got a message his number was changed or discontinued. I sent a text to the number I had and hoped all was well. I decided to Google his name for the St. Louis, MO area and saw his obit where he passed. A shock and very sad. We both drove a Corvette then and I remember when he drove a dirt bike accidentally into the front fender of the 3rd roommate’s car. We did have some times. If you would, please pass on to his daughter Kelley my sadness. She was very young when I met her.

  6. I will miss Rick so much. We were cousins and enjoyed time spent together over the years. From time spent at my parent’s home to reunions ,all fun times shared. My husband and family and I moved to North Tonawanda, N.Y.. and I would come home for a visit. I was fortunate to come home for a visit and Rick came back for a visit as well, so we had a wonderful time reminiscing. He fought so hard over the years with this horrible disease. He will be greatly missed. .He is up in heaven with God and pain free. Rest in peace “Ricky”. Love you Sympathies to his family.
