In Loving Memory

Singler, James Francis

James Singler, born and raised in Saint Louis, embarked on a journey home to God Thursday evening at 9:39 PM. He peacefully left this world with his family by his side, comforting him until the end.  Heaven gained a Saint who undoubtedly will liven up the place!

Jim, or Jimbo/Jimmy/James F as his hundreds of family and friends affectionally called him, was born in South Saint Louis on May 24th, 1950 to Wilma (Boarman) and Joseph Singler.  He spent the majority of his career in technology sales, and upon retirement, ran the Sappington Lounge.  Everyone loved him for his infectious smile and larger than life laugh.  “Jim never knew a stranger,” one friend stated.

Jim loved life and everything it threw at him. His favorite thing (outside of family) was his 1989  Porsche 911, dubbed “Big Red.”  He was a leader in the Porsche community, and used that platform to raise thousands of dollars for local charities.  He loved his cameras – some say he is the best photographer around.  He loved to jam out on his drums to classic rock and roll, and of course is known for his epic pool parties.

A saint among saints, he loved his family dearly. He is survived by his loving wife Beverly Fugate, originally from Kansas City; his sister Judith Singler; son Mike Singler and his wife, Kathy along with Jim’s grandsons Henry and Carter; son Tim Singler and his wife, Lauren along with his granddaughter Parisa Jean; and step-daughter Gina Singler, along with Jim’s grandsons Christian and Cole.  He is also greeted in Heaven by his first wife Lois, and his beloved dog Elvis.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-7PM with a service following at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Rd. In lieu of flowers, please donate to either of Jim’s favorite charities: Children’s Tumor Foundation (https://www.ctf.org) or Stray Rescue of Saint Louis (https://www.strayrescue.org).

God Bless you Jim, you are the best and the world will never be the same without you.
