  1. My dear beloved brother Clyde, I will miss you more than words can express. You will always have a special place in my heart and sole. Your spirit will live on through fond memories of all of the great times we spent together, growing up and over our lifetime as adults. Although your life was cut short you made a difference to me and my world. I love you so much and wish I could get one more hug and maybe a fondue with you! Love Laurette

  5. Clyde and I became best friends, starting in 6th grade, and we stayed that way until I moved to New York in 1998. Even though we lost touch over the following years, I always felt like we could always pick up where we left off if we ever got together again. He was a constant source of laughter and inspiration. I’m grateful for the time we had together. I’m going to miss you “dummy”.

  6. I am shocked and saddened to learn this awful news. What a beautiful, kind soul whose life was cut way too short. We are not old enough to begin losing childhood friends. I pray for peace and comfort for his family and friends. May he rest in God’s eternal peace and may his memory always be a blessing.

  7. Clyde was my other little brother. He and Rob were always together. And then Clyde and I reconnected when I started law school. He helped me so much with study aids and which professors to avoid. I am so sad to hear of his passing. My prayers go out to his wife and the Smith family.

  8. I am very sorry for your loss. Clyde was kind and decent person. I loved talking to him. He patiently endured and responded to hundreds of my dumb questions about physics and the law. You and yours are in our prayers.

  9. I just got the news of Clyde’s passing. So hard to hear this. I have known all of the Smiths because of our living in their neighborhood, University Heights in U. City. What great people. I had Dave, Laurette and Clyde as students at Delmar Harvard. His legacy will live with his wonderful wife, family and friends.. May his light shine.🕊️🔆

  11. Clyde is one of the people that I feel very lucky to have grown up with. He was never afraid to say exactly what he meant, and if you disagreed with him he liked you more not less. His candor and his warm humor were always an inspiration to me, and have had a big influence on the person I am today. Much love to everyone who loved him and feels his loss.

He was never afraid to say exactly what he meant, and if you disagreed with him, he liked you more not less -even if he did sometImes call you a dummy. 15. Clyde was an extraordinary person, full of remarkable skill and deep care for everyone fortunate enough to call him a friend. He was a mentor, colleague, business partner, and true friend. His sudden passing has left a void; I already miss him deeply. We spoke just the day before, with plans to meet the next day. Clyde’s final endeavors were driven by a vision to improve the world, and he inspired me to share in that mission. I hope to carry forward his legacy. Miss you Clyde.
