  1. Pete was an excellent soccer coach as well as a wonderful person! His knowledge and leadership of our 1971 National championship team at Flo Valley CC will always live in his players thoughts and hearts!
The breath of his impact on his players and the game of soccer will always be remembered!

My prayers and thoughts are with his family!

  2. I never played for a coach who better blended hard work, fun, and trust in his players. I regret that we couldn’t deliver him another national title in 1978–we got to the final in Miami–but his trophy mantle probably broke several times from all his winning anyway.
His many stories always ended in laughter. Even if it was only his own he didn’t care; he was so full of joy. Pete was one of those special people that made you feel good no matter the circumstances. Rest in peace, great friend.

  3. Pete was my soccer coach at Florissant Valley CC in 1977 & 1978. Pete was an important part of my life and I owe much to him.
He was an amazing man. Funny, intelligent and when he talked with you it made you feel special.

Thank you Pete for all you did for myself and the soccer community of St.Louis
    Rest in Peace

  4. Even though I only have only known Pete the last six years he has left a lasting impression. Pete was a regular at the City of Hazelwood Community gym where we worked out regularly. He was a great guy and a great coach all the way to the end. Always upbeat and inspirational. Rest in Peace my friend.
