Spitler, Ronald V.

August 21, 1941 - February 18, 2026

Ron Spitler, beloved husband of 58 years to Jan, was called Home on February 18, 2026. Ron was preceded in death of his parents, Raymond and Violet and his brother John. He is survived by his children Donna (Chris) Buxbaum, Warren, and Teresa (Dan) Lindstrom. Grandchildren Michael, April, Devin and Emma and great- grandchildren.

Ron joined the Navy in ’63 and worked as a missile technician during the Vietnam War. After proudly serving aboard the USS Oklahoma City for his country for four years, he had various jobs as an electrician eventually working for over 30 years at Anheuser-Busch Brewery and a proud union member of Local One. His hobbies included fresh water aquariums, his beloved Senegal parrot, Annabelle, and several family dogs.

After retirement, he enjoyed the countryside of Grand Lake, Oklahoma with his lovely wife, Jan and meeting several new friends that are now considered family to them both.

Services: Roadside service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery Wednesday, February 25, 2026, 9:30am.  By Kutis South County Chapel

  1. Ron you will be greatly missed. The love you had for Jan and your children and your grandchildren was unbelievable. You worshipped the ground they walk on and it showed everyday. Take your wings and fly high now and just remember to save a place for all of us Oh yeah when you see Dennis go on a boat trip with him and set up a few trot lines
