Stanwitz, Elena V.

Elena V. (Custodio) Stanwitz   May 28, 1929-April 10, 2021

Born in Manila, Philippines where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. She married Dr. Isidro Custodio in 1955.  She  moved to the US in 1958 and became a US citizen in 1977.  She enjoyed playing piano, ballroom and line dancing, traveling, gardening and gathering with fellow members of the Filipino Medical Association.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Isidro E. Custodio (m. 1955-1966) and husband Msgt. Joseph H. Stanwitz ,of the United States Air Force (m. 1968-1984). She is survived by her sons, Joselito and Anthony (Deborah) Custodio and daughters Marissa Custodio, Christine (Keith) Dobbins and Elaine Custodio.  She has 5 grandchildren, Nicole (Kaya) Farris, Cory (Shawn) Bradley, Brian Roesch, Trevor, Eric and Andrea Dobbins and Bianca Baram.  Her 7 great grandchildren, Kaya Anthony, Jonah, Ginny, Alea, Charlotte, Nevelise and Sonora.  They all know her as “Lola”, which is Filipino for Grandmother.  She is also survived by her niece, Carmelita Oreta.

Lola will truly be missed by her family but her spirit will live inside us all forever.  We love you, Mama

Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road Wednesday, April 14, 12pm until service at 2pm.  Concludes at funeral home.
