Stockhausen, Jacqueline Margaret (nee: Weir)

(Tina) Stockhausen VI, Mark (Kelly) Stockhausen, Dianne (Rich) Wagner, Cheryl (Greg) Rolfe and the late Jimmy Stockhausen.  Loving companion of the late Fred Arens.  Former wife of the late Charley Stockhausen.  Dear grandmother of Jen (Ben) Toben, Allison Stockhausen, Becca Stockhausen, Dustin (Samantha) Rolfe, Natalie Wagner, BayLee Rolfe, Jerrid Rolfe and Anika Wagner.  Dear great grandmother of Jacob and Brooklyn Toben.  Dear cousin of Larry Bettag.  Dear friend of Naomi and Faye.

Jacqueline was a proud member and past board member of the John Sappington DAR chapter (Daughters of the American Revolution) since 1976. She was involved with Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Indian Guides. The Administrative Secretary for Public Works and Manager of the Municipal Recycling Center and was the only female speaker at Jefferson City for trash haulers convention. She was the Outstanding Woman of the month for October 1972 as the manager/director of the Crestwood Recycling Center. The center, which opened in 1972, was used by 11 communities to recycle cans, bottles and newspapers. She coined the phrase “recycling is the balance between nature and progress.” The center was so successful that the city went to “at home pickup” through the regular trash hauler. She also invented the first She-Shed when she added a woman’s touch to the recycling center by adding a small house with cedar-type shingles with a stereo system with three speakers! She planned Earth Day programs (How fitting was it when her first grandson was born on Earth Day!). She wrote columns for various newsletters. She assisted in “Save the Arban House”. She planned for the first City of Crestwood Parade. She was the Neighborhood Watch chair. She was initiated and was the coordinator for a program at the City of Crestwood for an emergency aid to the handicapped. She received the Easter Seal Society’s recognition of the City of Crestwood’s efforts in designating structures with architectural accessibility for the handicapped. She founded and chaired a Grief Crisis Group (Survivors After Suicide), and participated in a local Cable T.V. documentary on grief. She did radio and T.V. interviews for Mental Health programs. She was on the board of the Sappington-Concord Historical Society, and Organized local groups to place flowers at the Crestwood City War Memorial.

SERVICES:  Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Road on Saturday, October 14, 10:00 a.m. until funeral service at 12:00 noon.  Interment St. Lucas Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Greater St. Louis Honor Flight or FOCUS Marines appreciated.
