Loving daughter of the late Lloyd William Sr. and Pollyanna Peterson (nee Stein); dearest wife of the late Robert Eugene Tillman; dear mother and mother-in-law of Jennifer Christine (Daniel John) Brooks; grandmother of Samuel Robert Brooks; dear sister of Lloyd William Jr., Paul Edward Peterson, Mary Christine McGrath and Sharon Eileen Peterson; our dear aunt, friend, co-worker of St. Anthony’s Medical Center.
Memorial Visitation Thursday, August 10, 3:00 p.m. until Memorial Service 7:00 p.m. at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Woodhaven School, 1405 Hathman Pl., Columbia, MO or 10th Life Cat Rescue, 3202 Cherokee St., St. Louis, MO 63118 or Boy Scout Troop 501, 3921 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, MO 63010.
Dear Jennifer, during our lifetimes we meet many people who become friends. Some become very close because they are kindred spirits. Your Mom and Dad were such kindred spirits. When you let us know your Mom passed away it left us with very heavy hearts. We were friends for about 55 years. Your Mom was the kindest, sweetest person we have ever known. We always laughed a lot when we got together and celebrated life in general. We always celebrated her joy when she talked about you and Sam. We loved her and we felt like Family. You all will be in our prayers.
Laurel was one of the best friends ever. She was forever funny and interesting.
I’ll miss our occasional movie and lunch. She was the heart of her family, and seemed to love them all dearly, especially her grandson, Sam. I’ll miss you, Laurel.

Laurel and I had many an interesting shifts together at good old St. Anthonys. I was in the SICU/ER and her in Respiratory therapy keeping people breathing all night. Even though it was our job we still had many a laughs together and I remember those times fondly. It was nice to talk to her even after she retired. I missed her here at work. Thanks for the memories Laurel!!
