Ethel M. Tobey (nee Hobusch) died peacefully on June 16. 2024 at the age of 100.
Born on October 14, 1923, to John and Eva (Parcel) Hobusch, both deceased Ethel was blessed to live a long life characterized by her deep devotion to faith and family. May the Lord grant her eternal rest
Ethel was preceded in death by her former husband Charles J. Tobey, Sr., daughter and son-in-law Patricia (James) Livengood, son Thomas, son-in-law Steve Palmer, grandchildren Susie Livengood, Jonathon Osborne, her sisters Rosemary Livengood and Violet (Sissie) Lamb and brother John (Buck) Hobusch.
Ethel is survived by children Charles (Nancy) Tobey, daughter-in-law Mary Tobey, daughter Sheila Palmer, and son Joseph (Laura) Tobey. Grandmother to Mary Rosenkranz, James (Mary) Livengood, Christy Osborne, Robert (Kelly) Tobey, Stephanie Holtzman (Russ Windsor), Matthew (Kathleen)Tobey, Kyle (Mollie) Tobey, Zachary (Kelsey) Tobey, Nicholas (Jeanne) Tobey , Steven Palmer, Marc (Brittany) Palmer, Justin (Kelsey) Tobey, Kelsey (Brian) Kistner and Brendan (Kayla) Tobey. Great grandmother of 22 and great-great grandmother of 3. Special aunt of Violet Livengood.
The family would like to extend a Thank You to the wonderful staff at Delmar Gardens South that has taken care of her for the past 8 years and to Pathways for taking care of her in her transition from life to eternal life.

SERVICES: Funeral will be at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd 63123) on Friday, June 28th at 10:00 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.
