Dear Sue: I am so sorry to hear about Dan. Now he is resting comfortably and not in any pain. May he rest in peace. May you find comfort in your friends and prayers.
Dan was a great guy who would do anything for you. He will be greatly missed by so many people. Prayers for all his family and friends.
My heart and prayers go out to the Trokey family for their loss of such a great man who left his mark here on earth. In not about how long you live or how much wealth you accumulate, it’s will you be remembered after you are gone for the good you did and the people you touched with your kindness. Well Mr. Trokey I can say that you touched many many tens of thousands easily. Be at peace my friend and look after all of us from up there. You were an amazing man loved by so many.
Dan is an Alumnus of St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1963. On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of what is now known as, “St. Mary’s Southside Catholic High School”, both past and present, we extend our most heartfelt sympathy to Dan’s family and friends.
Also know that we share in your sorrow and grieve for your loss. Special mention and offerings of condolences to Dan’s classmates and to those students, who, at one time or another, were either upper classmates or under classmates of his, and who may have known him personally or “of him” as someone they passed in the hallways, or shared a table with at lunchtime or maybe even participated in some of the same extra-curricular activities as Dan did from the time he enrolled as a Freshman in September of 1959 until the time he graduated as a Senior in June of 1963.
Although Dan is gone from this life, and there’s been a name change at the school, his spirit has been and always will be here on the school’s campus at 4701 South Grand Avenue. The same place it’s been since 1931. And just as it was in his lifetime, ever since the day Dan enrolled and became a “Son of Mary”, daily prayers will continue to be said and daily masses will continue to be offered for him by the Brothers of Mary.
