was welcomed to heaven’s glory, on August 6, at the appointed hour by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was 96 years old, born on January 23, 1920 in St. Louis, Mo. She was proceeded in death by her parents William and Josephine Decker, her stepfather Howard Smith, her brother Raymond Decker, her beloved husband, George and her great grandson, Andrew. She is survived by her sister, Doris Heath, sons Gary (Kathy) and David (Debbie) Ulrich. The greatest joys in her life included her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she deeply loved. She shared the Love of Jesus as she taught life’s lessons about how to live and recognize the blessings that God gives to each of us. She was loved by all for her tender touch and her loving and caring heart. Her legacy of love, caring and faith will carry on in our hearts. She will be buried with her husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. A private grave side service is planned. Memorials may be given to the Andrew Giving Fund, 11305 Meredith Dr., Des Moines, IA 50322, supporting struggling and at risk children, families and communities in sports activities, community living, education, leadership, kindness and charity.
