  1. Linda was a wonderful mother to her 3 children who are productive adults now- all we can hope for in life. So sad that Linda’s life was lost at such a young age. She was a devoted wife and mother who will be missed on this earth. Rest in peace with your soul mate, Greg.

  11. On behalf of the Flying Scot Sailing Association, I would like to send our deepest condolences to her family and friends. Linda was so enthusiastic about Flying Scot sailing. She was a great example of someone who learned to skipper, continued to advance as a “take charge” individual, and took others along and out with her to get them confident in sailing and racing. All of us in the Midwest District especially will miss her. Nancy Claypool, Flying Scot Sailing Association President

  21. Our sincere condolences for your loss. We first met Linda and Greg when they traveled to Ephraim, WI for a regatta. What a stand-up couple. I then observed Linda’s beauty and strength, as she took on the helm, committed to keep sailing, and she made her mark, competing in the FS women’s championship and other regattas, traveling distances and backing up a trailer like a pro – a skill which she said came from driving a tractor. As committed as she was to sailing, it was obvious her family brought her great joy. May you find solace in knowing she is at peace, reunited with Greg and always in your heart. She will be missed.

  23. Linda was a very special person. My first wife, Laslie who died of asthma in 2002, met Linda on an asthma support group on the internet. They came to visit us in Alabama in 2001. Linda & Greg and Laslie & I became very close friends. After Laslie’s passing in 2002, Linda and Greg stayed in contact with me and were a great support to me in my time of grief. After I remarried in 2009, they met and also became friends with my new wife Beth. We will always hold a special place in our heart for Linda and Greg.

  29. So sorry to hear of Linda’s passing and your entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers!

Greg and Linda were both amazing and kind people! When I went through my divorce several years ago, they invited me and my boys to share Thanksgiving with them! It was such a good time and was great therapy for me at that time. So, I am sure it was for my boys, as well!

Please know, people that are like Greg and Linda, showed the love of Christ in their actions and daily lives. Our world certainly can use that these days!

    With deepest sympathy,
